Brief biogrphy of Shaykh 'Abdul-Hameed al-Hajooree az-Za'akaree

                                                               
Shaykh 'Abdul-Hameed al-Hajooree az-Za'akaree حفظه الله is from their senior students of knowledge in Daarul Hadeeth, Dammaj and from its teachers.

                 He is Abu Muhammad, 'Abdul-Hameed bin Yahyaa bin Zayd al-Hajooree az-Za'akaree.

                                                                 
                                                                          Birth:


He was born in the land of Hajoor, in the province of Hijjah, in the village of az-Za'aakirah in the first day of Ramadan in the year 1392 AH.
Upbringing and studies:

He was brought up in the land he was born and he started his studies in the madrasas of his village up until he finished his basic education and then he completed his secondary education in Hudaydah. After that he completed his university education and his specialization was in the field of geography and chemistry.



Travel to seek legislated knowledge:



Then he travelled to Daarul Hadeeth Dammaaj in the last part of the month of Jumaadul Aakhirah in the year 1418 AH to seek knowledge and he has been there up until today.
He studied at the hands of Imaam al-Allaamah Muqbel bin Hadee al-Waadi'ee (may Allaah have mercy on him) for two and half years up until when Imaam Muqbel (may Allaah have mercy on him) left Yemen for medication.

He continued to seek knowledge under the successor of Imaam Muqbel, ash-Shaykhul Allaamah Yahyaa bin 'Alee al-Hajooree (may Allaah preserve him) and still continues to seek knowledge up until know in Daarul Hadeeth, Dammaaj (may Allaah protect it) and he has many efforts in da'wah, whether it be in teaching, authoring and sermons and other than that. We ask Allaah to make his efforts beneficial.

He is among the foremost of the senior students of knowledge in Daarul-Hadeeth of Dammaaj and from its callers, teachers and researchers. We do not praise him over Allah.



His Dawah:



Shaykh Yahya al-Hajooree (may Allaah preserve him) has sent him to many of various lands for da'wahwhether it be inside Yemen or outside Yemen. In Yemen he has lectured in most of the provinces and outside Yemen he has gone to Tanzania (twice), Trinidad and Tobago, Egypt (twice), Algeria, Sri Lanka, Maldives and some other places. 
As he has stood with doing lectures and knowledge based classes to many from the lands and the states around the world by way of the internet or by way of the phone, and similarly he receives many questions which are sent to him by way of the phone or by way of his site on the internet.



Statements of the scholars in regards to him:



Al-Imam, Ash-Shaykh Muqbil has praised Ash-Shaykh AbdulHameed and mentioned him from his students who have memorized the Quran (in his time), as found on the book “Tarjuma Abi Abdurrahman Muqbil" 178, Daarul Aathaar”

Al-Allaamah, Ash-Shaykh Ahmad Najmi, may Allah have mercy upon him, has praised Ash-Shaykh AbdulHameed and gave a preface to one of his books where Ash-Shaykh Najmi wrote:

“What is important is that the writer (i.e. Ash-Shaykh Abdul Hameed) has been granted success in that which I see in this research which he criticizes those who confine the Names of Allah to ninety nine (names), so May Allah reward him with good and bless him and increase the likes of him!”

Ash Shaykh Yahya al-Hajooree, may Allah preserve him, praised Ash-Shaykh AbdulHameed and mentioned in the book entitled “at Tabakaaat”,48 Darul Athaar:
“ he is firm , who has memorized the Quran and Saheeh Muslim, is a strong researcher, he has (written the following books) “Fathul Manaan fi As Saheeh Al Musnad Min Ahaadeethul Eemaan” “Al Bayaanul Husnaa Limaa Ahyaahu Ash Shaykh Muqbil Minas Sunnaan” and he joined in the Tahqeeq of a volume from Muhaala of Ibn Hazm!”

And Shaykh Taariq Al Ba’adaani said in his book Ar Radus Sharee in regards to him (83)
And he is from the Mashaykh of the institute and he is from the teachers, he has beneficial writings, and defense of the Sunnah and its people, and he has efforts which he is thanked upon, our Shaykh Yahya may Allah preserve him and sent him to Tanzaaniya with his brother The virtuous Shaykh Hussayn Al Hutaybee and what a delightful companion whilst travelling and (being) settled….”



His writing and his checking’s may Allah grant him success:



Shaykh Abdul Hameed has efforts that there is no problem with it in regards to writing and in checking in different fields, and it has reached the boundary of around 60 writings such as the following:
